Hooty wants to be the Robin to your Batman.  The Scooby to your Shaggy. The Sonny to your Cher.  

Yes, he loves his littermates, but they pale in comparison to his love for humans.  While the others romp and play, you’ll find Hooty sitting in his foster Ma’s lap chewing on a toy or munching on a carrot. 

Hooty wants a home where someone is home.  He wants someone who will welcome him on the couch and bed because being unable to touch his humans just isn’t his idea of a good time.  

He also needs a family who understands his breed.  German Shepherds and Australian Shepherds were bred to have jobs and to be mentally stimulated.  They benefit from having clear and gentle training using positive rewards.  They benefit from fun activities like scent work and agility work.  And most importantly, they need lots of socialization. 

Wanna fight crime? You punch high and he’ll nip low. 

Wanna solve a mystery together? You pack the flashlight and he’ll grab the Scoobysnacks. 

Wanna sing a song? Grab your guitar and he’ll provide the vocals.

Our $275 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
