Hi! My name is Pav as in Pavlov's Dog. Unlike Pavlov's dog, I have a stubborn streak that means I am not as easily trained as a food driven pup. My foster Mom estimates me to be approximately 1.5 years old because I am still quite the chewer, steal all the bones from my brother Chase and hoard them on my bed. I like to be the Alpha when I am placed in a pack, but when Mom says No Pav! I listen and calm my bullying. I definitely could use a strong pack leader who is willing to take me on lots of walks, build a relationship with me and train me to learn to listen. I am not particularly food driven and might work better with verbal positive reinforcement with some treats here and there too. I am really interested in building a close relationship and receiving a lot of praise from my person when I accomplish the goal correctly.

 

I ignore cats and I am pretty good with children but I do have a tendency to try to herd them, I am a working breed after all. This usually means I do not hurt them but I might scare them when I nip their ankles. I am good with other dogs but I want to be the alpha and may be better in a home where I am an only dog, or where a submissive fur brother or sister is already present or planned after my arrival. I like to bully my little brother Chase and sometimes he yelps and is unhappy
