Penny Lane is 5 months old and a hound mix. She is good with other dogs, probably good with cats, cat be tested and good with kids. She is working on potty training and is crate trained.
Penny Lane is a terrier mix, 17 lbs., lanky, about 5 months old. (she still has a few baby teeth, and is underweight) This sweet girl was rescued from a rural city pound, the conditions were abominable and sad. Penny seems to have some social interaction ease with people and probably had attention before being dumped with her siblings. Now she is very needy since she had no one reliable.

I first laid eyes on her as she came out of her spay surgery, head drooping, ears back and her eyes totally avoiding eye contact.I quietly said, "Hello Miss Penny Lane" and she wagged her tail. Since then, Penny has been a super love bug. Absolutely a doll, and in my pocket all day long.

Penny is all puppy, bouncy, rubbery, clumsy, always hungry and has two speeds: happysohappy! or sleeping. She was nibbling her tail today and slowly slid right off the sofa like a slinky. Such a puppy clown! And talk about beautiful, golden honey color with white legs and freckles across her white nose. Her rat terrier ears are one up, and one kinda bobbing up and down. She has some big floppy feet that she will grow into, maybe 30 lbs at 1 yr.  is my guess. When you pick her up she is like a rag doll, totally relaxed and trusting, then lays her head over your shoulder. (new nickname Noodlepuppy) Her favorite thing is to be with people, leaning, head in your lap, sitting on your foot, burrowing into your arm, gratefully looking upside-down at you with her big brown eyes and giving a thank you kiss. Compared to many terrier breeds she is laid back. She likes to just hang out with her leader (you) and play, until she naps (preferably on you). It’s impossible to not want to be her friend!

You have to meet this playful social little girl to believe it. Penny is ok with kids and gets along with other dogs. She is still shy with the unfamiliar, but not aggressively so. She needs slow introductions and some space to get comfortable. She doesn't seem interested in playing with my 3 terriers as she's busy looking for my attention right now. Penny still craves security, guidance and lots of food - probably her adjusting to being off the street. She 's been a good girl in her crate overnight, settles down and no accidents. She’s also been good in the crate during the day;  5 hours max right now, 1 hour per month of age.  Penny is potty training fast, working at getting her to ring bells at the door to ask to go out. She has lots to learn but is eager to please and is smart. Learned sit in one day , goes potty outside once she hits the grass. Comes to my voice and listens well.

If you want a faithful beautiful puppy that loves you like crazy, she's ready for the mission! Are you?

Penny Lane is a typical puppy that will require ongoing training.
