|
Sherman is a big love at 90 lbs and a rescue favorite! He is housebroken, easy going, loves walks, plays with toys and cuddles. He is an all-around great dog looking for a chill household to enjoy his golden years in.
As most GSD he has hip dysplasia in left hip and this has caused some right front leg arthritis but with his supplements and pain meds that doesn't stop him from having a good time. He currently is getting monthly injections for pain which is the cheaper route.
He is good with dogs but would prefer to be the one and only as he only has eyes for his people.
Poor Sherman was surrendered by family members when his mom got dementia and fell and hurt herself. He laid by her bed and was protective of her and the family felt it best to rehome him. His crime was loving her too much and being a German Shepherd! If you can handle being loved that much, apply today!
If you are interested in meeting Sherman, complete the Adoption Application on our website at www.NeedyPaws.org and we will contact you. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.
Sherman ’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.
We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
