Do you like smooshy faces and non-stop snuggling? Well, Pugsley is the dog for you! This 8 month old, 30 pound pug (maybe boxer?) mix is looking for a family who will give him all the attention and pets he deserves.
Pugsley is a LOVER and wants to be with you all the time. He is house trained when let out regularly. Pugsley is treat motivated, and he is excelling at his indoor manners and basic training. He understands what he can and can not chew on and which sofas he is allowed on and which he is not in his foster home. Pugsley is crate-trained and should be crated when you are gone for long periods to avoid puppy bathroom accidents. He can stay out of the crate reliably for a couple of hours if you’re running errands.
Pugsley is cautious of new people but warms up quickly. He loves kids and is coexisting peacefully with his foster dog brother. He does try to steal his food if you’re not watching. If you have another dog, you have to monitor feeding time, which takes about 60 seconds for Pugsley!
Pugsley is struggling to feel confident on a leash. Currently, he will walk with another confident dog, and is learning leash manners. A companion dog is not required, but a fenced in yard is.
Pugsley is undergoing treatment for heart worms. He will need reduced activity until testing negative.

Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.
Pugsley’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.
We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
