Yeti is 4 years old. He was picked up as a stray by St. Louis county animal control in November where he sat stressed before being given a euthanasia date. Needy Paws couldn’t let that happen so they pulled this sweet boy and got him in a foster home where he is THRIVING. He lives harmoniously and calmly with other dogs after a proper intro. While stressed, out in public, he can be reactive to other dogs but at home, he couldn’t be easier to handle and is actually quite tolerant, even of an annoying puppy. His reactivity in public could likely get better as he builds more confidence in a loving home. He’s sending mixed signals about the cats. Sometimes he’s fine with him, sometimes he’s a little too interested in them, but it might just be a matter of getting used to being around them. But he’s living with 2 cats just fine. He has not been around young children but he’d probably do best with children 10 and over. When he first arrived at his foster home he did have a problem with marking but this was just marking, it was not relieving himself. He would go #2 and fully relieve himself outside. Since he has been neutered, the marking has stopped. Getting neutered could have ridden him of the impulse to mark, or he could have already sufficiently marked the area and didn’t see it necessary to mark further. So it is possible he could mark in a new home at first but he’ll quickly show you that he really is house trained. He goes in his crate willingly with treats and is quiet while in it.  He is very sweet and affectionate with his person. He’s really a very easy dog!
